2019 Sino-German Bioeconomy and Biomedicine Conference held in Hangzhou
On Nov. 9th, the 2019 Hangzhou International Human Resources Exchanges and Cooperation Conference and the 2019 Sino-German Bioeconomy and Biomedicine Conference was inaugurated in Hangzhou International Expo Center. Prof. Manfred Dietel, Member of German Academy of Sciences - Leopoldina and President of German-Sino Healthcare Group; Prof. Dr. Hartmut Michel, Geman Biochemist and Nobel laureate in Chemistry; Zhuo Min, Fellow of the Academy of Science of the Royal Society of Canada; Dr. Viola Bronsema, Secretary General and CEO of Bio Deutschland; Prof. Renjie, Director of Institute of Nano and Bio-Polymeric Materials of Tongji University and other Chinese and German experts and scholars in Bioeconomy & Biomedicine attended the Conference and delivered keynote speeches.
The Conference focused on the topics, such as “Development direction and trend of Bioeconomy in China”, “Experiences and the Future of Germany’s Bioeconomy”, “Current status and the Future of Hangzhou’s Bioeconomy” , to carry out seminars and explore the current status and the Future of the development of Bioecnomy.

The unveiling ceremony of Virchow Laboratories-Hangzhou Institute of Pathology, Sino-German Joint Laboratory and the signing ceremony of Xinhua International Hospital Project were also held in the Conference. With the continuous and in-depth medical cooperation between China and Germany, the overall medical level of Hangzhou will be greatly improved.
